Artur and Batish are two friends who have risen from Kyiv’s underground to become one of the most in demand acts on the international circuit. It is a pure passion for the music that has got them there, as well as their own unique sense of driving, powerful and melodic house and techno. 2019 was a standout year for this pair, who were Mixmag Stars of the Year as well as being Beatport’s overall Number 1 best selling artists after an unbeatable string of Number 1 singles and the Ibiza DJ Awards - Breakthrough Artist Of The Year! It was only a few years ago back in 2015 that the pair made their first big impression with ‘Mandrake’ on Definition Music getting high profile support from Richie Hawtin and many more. From there they didn't look back and continued to subtly evolve their sound with the likes of ‘Uplift’ on Diynamic Music and ‘Tabu’ on fryhide showing off their masterful take on melody.

P.O.D., an initialism for Payable on Death, is an American Christian nu metal band formed in 1992 in San Diego, California. The line-up consists of vocalist Paul Joshua "Sonny" Sandoval, bassist Mark "Traa" Daniels, guitarist Marcos Curiel, and drummer Noah "Wuv" Bernardo. The band has sold over 12 million records worldwide and has received three Grammy Award nominations, contributed to multiple film soundtracks, and toured internationally.

The origins of the band date back to 1991, when Sandoval fronted the rap group Unlicensed Product, while Bernardo, Curiel, and Gabe Portillo performed in the thrash metal band Eschatos. In 1992, Sandoval joined Eschatos as vocalist, and the group renamed itself Payable on Death, later shortened to P.O.D. The name was derived from the banking term "payable on death" and was intended to reflect the band’s Christian beliefs. That same year, they recorded their first song, "Three In the Power of One", later included on their debut album "Snuff the Punk".

In 1994, Daniels joined as bassist, replacing Portillo. The band signed with Rescue Records, founded by Bernardo’s father, and released "Snuff the Punk", "Brown", and the live album "Payable on Death Live" between 1994 and 1997. Following growing regional attention, the band signed with Atlantic Records in 1998 and released "The Warriors EP" as a transitional release.

Their third studio album, "The Fundamental Elements of Southtown" (1999), marked their commercial breakthrough, featuring the singles "Southtown" and "Rock the Party (Off the Hook)". The album was certified platinum. In 2001, they released "Satellite", which achieved greater commercial success and was certified triple platinum. The album included the singles "Alive", "Youth of the Nation", "Boom", and "Satellite". "Alive" and "Youth of the Nation" both received Grammy Award nominations, while the track "Portrait" was nominated in the metal category.

In 2003, guitarist Marcos Curiel left the band and was replaced by Jason Truby. That same year, the band released their fifth album, "Payable on Death", which marked a stylistic shift toward a more melodic metal sound and was certified gold. Curiel rejoined the band in 2006 following Truby’s departure. The band’s sixth album, "Testify", was released in 2006 and included the single "Goodbye for Now", which featured a guest vocal by Katy Perry. Around this time, the band also left Atlantic Records and released the compilation "Greatest Hits: The Atlantic Years".

In 2008, P.O.D. released "When Angels & Serpents Dance", their first album after reuniting with Curiel. They continued touring internationally and performing at festivals. In 2012, they released "Murdered Love", which was described by the band as a return to their earlier musical style, incorporating elements of hip hop, punk, and reggae. The album included the single "Lost in Forever".

In 2014, the band released the acoustic album "SoCal Sessions", followed by the studio album "The Awakening" in 2015. In 2018, they released their tenth studio album, "Circles". The band marked the 20th anniversary of "Satellite" with a tour in 2021.

During the European leg of that tour, drummer Wuv Bernardo stepped back from touring activities for personal reasons. He was temporarily replaced in live performances by Alex Lopez. In 2024, P.O.D. released "Veritas", their first studio album in six years and the first without Bernardo’s participation in recording. Although not actively touring with the band at that time, Bernardo remained a member.

In 2025, the band released a version of "I Won't Bow Down" featuring A.N.I.M.A.L. and a cover of "Don't Let Me Down". They also continued touring internationally, including as a supporting act for other rock bands. As of 2026, the band has been working on new material, with reports indicating a heavier musical direction influenced by the use of extended-range guitars.

Full Wikipedia article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P.O.D.

Studio albums
Snuff the Punk (1994)
Brown (1996)
The Fundamental Elements of Southtown (1999)
Satellite (2001)
Payable on Death (2003)
Testify (2006)
When Angels & Serpents Dance (2008)
Murdered Love (2012)
The Awakening (2015)
Circles (2018)
Veritas (2024)

Steven Baan, in the music scene better known as Estiva, was born in 1987 in a small town called Reeuwijk located in the Netherlands.
At a very young age Steven fell in love with melodic trancemusic inspired by the summer. Hearing music from compilations as “In Search Of Sunrise” by Tiesto, made him want to create this kind of music also. His producing skills were improving and early 2006 the wish to get his own music out in the world became reality.

His dream debute came with the release of his Stella EP. This record, released by Enhanced Recordings, was picked up by the biggest DJ’s in the world such as Armin van Buuren. This encouraged Steven to keep on doing his thing in music. From that day on he was determined to show the world his creativeness in music.

It was early 2008 when Tiesto got his hands on Estiva’s collaboration with his friend Marninx ‘Casa Grande’. A dream came true when Tiesto decided to put this track on “In Search of Sunrise 7″.
With his latest Strawberry Fields EP getting the likes of number one dj Armin van Buuren, Tiesto and Ferry Corsten the succes story continues.

There are at least 7;artists called Daze: (1) a Danish dance/bubblegum trio from the late 90's, (2) a rock band from Switzerland, (3) a pop punk band from New York, (4) a rock band from Russia, (5) a French electronic producer/ dj. (6) a south korean singer-songwriter. (7) A Shoegaze band from Texas 8)

1. Daze is a Danish eurodance project of Johnny Jam & Delgado (Aqua, Me & My). Daze's career has really turned into a true fairytale for singer Trine Bix and her two partners songwriters/musicians, Sieber and J.T. - the trio which constitutes the turbo-pop-phenomenon Daze.

With their first single - Superhero - Daze broke the sound barrier in their home country, where this song quickly became the fastest selling single of 1997 (if you count out Elton John), reaching for example # 6 in Israel. Since then Superhero has been awarded both Gold and Platinum all over Scandinavia, where Daze continue their quest for the top of the charts. The two follow-up singles Toy Boy and Together Forever (The Cyber Pet Song) - formerly known as Tamagotchi - have both ruled the radio stations in Finland, Norway, Sweden and Denmark. Together Forever is a tribute to Virtual Pets all over the world and especially the most famous of them all, the Tamagotchi. When the debut album, Super Heroes, was released in October 1997, it immediately charted, in Finland with a peak at No. 1 and in Denmark with a peak at No. 3.

In Norway the album has turned Gold. Scandinavia has taken to Daze in such a way that more than 250,000 copies of the Super Heroes album have leapt over the counter. In February 1998 Daze received a Grammy Award for best Dance Album of 1997 at the prestigious Danish Grammy.

Despite the fact that Daze's career is still new, they have already given loads of concerts all around Scandinavia and are certainly fit for fight now that the fairytale continues outside of the Nordic countries. All over the world the belief in Daze and their hitmaking ability is so high that the group's very first album Super Heroes has become a major priority everywhere - which means that Daze and their energetic pop songs will reach out to all corners of the world, from the US to Taiwan, from the UK to Portugal, during 1998.

First international single Superhero has already gained attention in the US with a peak as #27 in Billboards Hot Dance Music / Maxi Single Sales and a first week entry in the Hot 100 Singles Chart as #88. The video can be viewed at The Box (US only). In the UK, the single peaked in the PopChart as #3.

The recipe for this success is the most classic of pop stories - Bix, Sieber and J.T. write the kind of songs that you simply cannot get out of your head again. And the producers behind the album are amongst the heavyweights of today's modern popmusic - Johnny Jam , Dean'N'&Mögtz (Maria Montell, Me & My) and The Uhlmann Bros (Dr. Alban).

1999 : after almost 2 years of silence, Daze is back with a new single entitled 15 Minutes Of Fame announcing their new album They Came To Rule. But this track didn't have the success expected.

2000 : thier second single 2nd Chance was released. Its radio version was totally reworked by DJ Jurgen (who produced Alice Deejay's first single) and it has fantastic female vocals, and great synths.

http://www.discogs.com/artist/Daze
http://www.daze.dk/
http://www.bubblegumdancer.com/artists/daze.htm

2. Daze is a Rock band from Zürich Switzerland, they exist since 1998 and after some changes
in the lineup they're back with new power as you can hear on the new demo from late 2008:

"Tracks"
"What you're giving to me"
"Build a wall"
"Self-assured"

Songs on LastFM

"I think Daze are very different from any other band that I've heard in the whole 20 years of my life."
KIMBERLY LEWIS, FREELANCE MUSIC JOURNALIST (UK)

"I know that Daze has the potential to peak the charts with their unique and always classic rock sound."
PUUDA MAGGUI, BLOG-WRITER (US)

"All I can say, is that they rock!"
BEEWAX, MINERVA GRUNGE SITE (P)

DAZE are:

Mathis Eigensatz:	Vocals/Guitar
Moritz Eigensatz:	Bass/Vocals
Andreas Keller:	Guitar
Chris Goertzen:	Drums

Official DAZE Homepage
DAZE @ MySpace
DAZE @ Youtube

3. Daze a Pop Punk band from New York, New York.
Daze (New York)

4. Daze are a rock band from Petrozavodsk, Russia.
MySpace

5.Daze is a French electronic producer and Dj
MySpace

6. Daze (데이즈) is a south korean singer, songwriter and music producer. He already release two mini albuns Young Love and Friday.

7. Daze is a collective of self-described dreamy rockers hailing from Houston, TX. The band has been around for a few years working, writing, and crafting their brand of alt-rock meets fuzz-induced noise-pop but not resting just on their musical influences but adding their own personal flare and creative stylings

8.
Born on October 26, 1986 in Jerusalem, but raised in Amsterdam. He wrote an email to world-renowned producers Martin Terefe and Sacha Skarbek, asking if they could help him with his music career. Less than a week later, Dotan was allowed to go to London to work with producers, who previously worked on albums by Adele, Coldplay and James Morrison, among others.

He always did all this without the help of a record company, but in early 2010 he signed a contract with EMI Group. This contract resulted in the recording of his debut album Dream Parade in Los Angeles. The first single from this album is the song This Town. With this, 3FM immediately chose him as 3FM Serious Talent. Giel Beelen called him the greatest talent of 2011 on March 10, 2011 during the broadcast of De Wereld Draait Door. His first single This Town was named 3FM Megahit on March 27 and Dotan was a guest at Giel Beelen and De Wereld Draait Door.

His debut album Dream Parade was released on May 20 and was immediately named by CD of the week on 3FM and 3voor12. Dotan received positive reactions for his album in magazines such as OOR, Elsevier, Metro and de Volkskrant. His second single Where we belong was linked to Amnesty International's international campaign, which is why he flew to Nigeria to perform for the slums of Port Harcourt. The accompanying clip grew into a YouTube hit with more than 200,000 views.

In the summer of 2011, Dotan appeared at various festivals and was a guest on the larger radio and television programs. Then Dotan started his "Dream Parade Tour" through the big clubs of the Netherlands. Dotan's debut album will also be released in several other countries, of which Israel is the first.

Dotan's unique voice is often compared to Snow Patrol's Gary Lightbody.

Dotan reached a milestone by being the first artist in history to remain on the number 1 spot in the Serious Talent charts for more than 5 months. With this he leaves artists such as Caro Emerald, Go Back To The Zoo and Krystl behind. This chart is based on the popularity on the social media of the artists. A nomination for the Serious Talent Award 2011 followed, but during the presentation at Paaspop 2012 it was announced that he did not win this prize.

Dotan went on tour with Gavin Degraw in February, with whom he played in sold-out venues such as the Melkweg and Oosterpoort. Two months later on April 17, 2012, he provided the opening act for Sinéad O'Connor in the main hall of the Paradiso.

In April 2018, after several months of research, Dutch newspaper de Volkskrant revealed that Dotan had enlisted the aid of at least 140 troll accounts to boost his online reputation and following. These accounts disparaged other musicians and made up feel-good stories about chance encounters with fans. de Volkskrant also revealed that Dotan's management had repeatedly tried to alter Dotan's Dutch Wikipedia page. The singer later confirmed the existence of these accounts, apologised, and terminated all his social media activities.

A collaboration of two famous, almost legendary trance music producers. Coming from the Netherlands, Ferry Corsten and Vincent de Moor made an outstanding and remarkable track named 'Carte Blanche'. Despite the fact it was released in 1999, it is still a fresh and fantastic tune, by many trance fans called as the best track representing this genre so far! Unfortunately, Veracocha was not a long-time project. After producing 'Carte Blanche', 'Drafting' (a B-Side track to 'Carte Blanche' on the vinyl) and a remix of Ayla's song - 'Ayla' (also worth listening) they stopped the co-operation.

About the name 'Veracocha': Ferry was watching Discovery Channel (as he did a lot) and there was a program that was about Inca's. 'Viracocha' is the name of one of the Inca Gods. They found wall paintings about this God and on those paintings, and it looks like he resembles an astronaut. Because Ferry liked the story behind it, they decided to change the name a bit and use 'Veracocha' as the name for this project.

Radiohead are an English rock band formed in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, in 1985. The band consists of Thom Yorke (vocals, guitar, piano, keyboards); brothers Jonny Greenwood (guitar, keyboards, other instruments) and Colin Greenwood (bass); Ed O'Brien (guitar, backing vocals); and Philip Selway (drums, percussion). Since 1994, they have frequently collaborated with producer Nigel Godrich and cover artist Stanley Donwood. Radiohead are noted for their experimental approach, which has influenced the development of alternative rock.

The band signed to EMI in 1991 and released their debut album, "Pablo Honey," in 1993. Its lead single, "Creep," became a worldwide hit. Their popularity and critical acclaim increased with "The Bends" in 1995. Their third album, "OK Computer" (1997), is widely regarded as a landmark album, noted for its complex production and themes of modern alienation. Their fourth album, "Kid A" (2000), marked a significant stylistic shift, incorporating elements of electronic music, jazz, classical music and krautrock. Though initially divisive, "Kid A" was later recognised as one of the decade’s best albums. "Amnesiac" (2001), recorded during the same sessions, followed, and "Hail to the Thief" (2003), their final album for EMI, combined rock and electronic music while addressing themes such as the war on terror.

Radiohead self-released their seventh album, "In Rainbows" (2007), as a pay-what-you-want download, achieving critical and commercial success. Their eighth album, "The King of Limbs" (2011), explored rhythm through extensive looping and sampling. "A Moon Shaped Pool" (2016) featured prominent orchestral arrangements by Jonny Greenwood. Several members, including Yorke, Jonny Greenwood, Selway and O'Brien, have released solo albums, and in 2021, Yorke and Jonny Greenwood formed the band the Smile.

By 2011, Radiohead had sold over 30 million albums worldwide. They have received six Grammy Awards and four Ivor Novello Awards, and hold five Mercury Prize nominations, more than any other act. Seven of their singles have reached the top 10 on the UK singles chart: "Creep" (1992), "Street Spirit (Fade Out)" (1996), "Paranoid Android" (1997), "Karma Police" (1997), "No Surprises" (1998), "Pyramid Song" (2001) and "There There" (2003). "Creep" and "Nude" (2008) also reached the top 40 on the US Billboard Hot 100. Rolling Stone named Radiohead one of the 100 greatest artists of all time and included five of their albums in its "500 Greatest Albums of All Time" lists. Radiohead were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019.

Studio albums
Pablo Honey (1993)
The Bends (1995)
OK Computer (1997)
Kid A (2000)
Amnesiac (2001)
Hail to the Thief (2003)
In Rainbows (2007)
The King of Limbs (2011)
A Moon Shaped Pool (2016)

Tarkan Tevetoğlu (born October 17, 1972 in Alzey, West Germany), popularly known as Tarkan, is a successful World Music award-winning pop music singer in Turkey. He has released several platinum-selling albums during his career, with an estimated 15 million albums sold, and is also involved in producing music through his own music company HITT Music, which he established in 1997. Noted for his live stage performances, the Washington Post has compared Tarkan's effect on Turkey as analogous to Elvis in America circa 1957, while co-founder of Atlantic Records Ahmet Ertegün described him as one of the best live performers he had ever seen.

Tarkan is one of a few European singers that have managed to span chart success over three continents without singing in English. Often cited as the Turkish Prince of Pop, the German born singer has charted in Russia, Europe and in the Americas with the song "Şımarık" (Kiss Kiss). As a result of its widespread success, Tarkan was listed by Rhapsody as a key artist in the history of European pop music, with his signature song as a keystone track that moved the genre forward.

Immediately recognisable with Tarkan's kisses on the track, "Şımarık" was reincarnated as "Kiss Kiss" by Holly Valance after the composer Sezen Aksu sold the music rights, and has been covered by various artists across the world.

LONG BIOGRAPHY:
Tarkan is an entertainer who has broken the mould of the meaning of a pop star and set the standard for a new breed of artist. He is a force that has managed to overcome countless barriers, simply because he sees none.

Born in Alzey, Germany on 10-17-1972, Tarkan is the fifth child of six siblings. Tarkan was reared by his loving mother who noticed his talents and encouraged his artistic ability. Coming from humble beginnings, music was a form of release from his realities. Seeing how music moved their child’s very being, was reason enough for Tarkan’s family to encourage his journey into the world of music. He began on his quest by taking lessons in Turkey in order to study the craft of traditional Turkish song. Studying at the Turkish classical musical institution, Tarkan was surrounded by some of Turkey’s most respectable songwriters & musicians. It was at this very young and impressionable age that Tarkan absorbed the essence of music.

After graduating from high school, Tarkan had a string of jobs that led him nowhere in the music arena. Experiencing this disappointment, Tarkan was planning on moving to Germany and leaving his dreams of pursuing music and stardom behind. However, prior to his departure, destiny had different plans in store for him as Tarkan met producer Mehmet Sogutoglu. Mehmet eventually signed Tarkan to his record label, Istanbul Plak. This resulted in the release of Tarkan’s debut album Yine Sensiz in 1993 in Turkey. The first single “Kil Oldum Abi” quickly struck a chord with the public, garnering airplay at nightclubs & eventually hitting Turkish radio’s Top 20 charts. The songs “Cok Ararsin Beni” and “Vazgecemem” perpetuated the album’s success. These songs’ airplay was boosted by music videos in which Tarkan, though innovative and unique, maintained a loyalty to his roots & culture, as he was seen donning a necklace with the crescent & star, a Turkish symbol of national pride. Tarkan’s look was one that was never before seen, with his boyish charm and searing eyes, he managed to win the hearts of the youth. He ultimately sold over 700,000 units, taking his place among Istanbul’s prominent artists.

Tarkan’s sophomore album entitled Aacayipsin was released in 1995. The title track, a collaboration with Sezen Aksu (Turkey’s acclaimed composer/producer/lyricist/performer) became the singer’s first number one single. In 1995, Tarkan held 74 live concerts throughout Turkey & Europe. A New York Palladium concert was broadcast live in Turkey nationwide, to rave reviews. The album’s sales jumped to over 2.5 million units, more albums sold than any other artist that year, cementing Tarkan as a force to be reckoned with in the world of Turkish music.

Following his successes throughout Turkey, Tarkan chose to leave Turkey to collect his thoughts & learn English, relocating to NY. Prior to his departure, as fate would have it, Tarkan met Atlantic Records founder & executive Ahmet Ertegun, who decided to take the talented musician under his wing & consequently became a guiding force in Tarkan’s life, silently grooming him for the world’s stage.

Tarkan’s third album, Olurum Sana, was released in July 1997. The single “Simarik”, known as “Kiss Kiss” internationally, was written by Turkey’s legendary Sezen Aksu. The powerhouse song exploded onto the international market, topping the Billboard Charts Hot 100 lists worldwide garnering highest marks, resulting in close to 4 million units sold. “Simarik” was translated into many different languages in order to accommodate the international demand. Furthermore, the music video’s appeal resulted in steady rotation on international music markets including MTV & MCM throughout Europe, as well as profiles on international news outlets including CNN. Tarkan progressed by embarking on a sold out stadium tour nationwide. Following his appearances in Turkey, Tarkan made appearances in over 17 cities in Europe, with additional stops in South America. His entrancing vocals, dynamic dance, and spectacularly staged shows appealed to the worldwide demographic & Tarkan was received everywhere with open ears, arms, & hearts. In 1998, PolyGram France licensed the album, re-releasing it internationally. As a result, the album was certified platinum in Mexico, & hit gold in France, Holland, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Sweden, & Columbia.

1999 continued with even more tour dates, including appearances in Germany, France, England, Belgium, Holland, Denmark, Austria, Portugal, Morocco, Australia, & Tunisia until the horrific 1999 earthquake hit Turkey. The devastating effects on its people led Tarkan to hold a moving performance in honor of the victims of the 1999 earthquake, where thousands of Turkish citizens were lost & perhaps even more so were left homeless. This aid concert held in Istanbul was a highlight for the people of Turkey and helped the people of Istanbul regain hope and find the determination to rebuild their lives. Tarkan then continued his activism & philanthropy by enlisting in Turkey’s Military Service, showing loyalty to his country and his people.

Controversy always managed to follow Tarkan throughout his career. Whether his interests, political views, or personal relationships were in question, he has never ceased to be an integral topic of public intrigue. Tarkan’s quest for self-realization was played out publicly due to his ever-present persona. However, through it all, Tarkan has managed to weather the storm by staying true to his heart, to his music, & to his fans.

Karma was released in August 2001 to a hungry audience, which saw a side of Tarkan never before publicly exposed. Karma was a touching, introspective, and deeply personal work, which shined a light on all of the experiences, Tarkan had endured throughout the recent years of pandemonium. Fans witnessed an artist, who in the wake of the new album was a more spiritually centered and private man. “Kuzu Kuzu”, the first single off the album, was released in May 2001 & held the # 1 position for three months. Karma also was also a ravishing success in Russia and a surprising change in the landscape of the Russian music market. In spite of economic & political crisis at the time in Turkey, the album “Karma” sold over 2.5 million units.

Following this success, Tarkan was asked to compose & perform the official song of the Turkish National Soccer Team (third place medalist in the World Cup). Furthermore, music from the album Karma was also used for documentary films produced by the Turkish Ministry of Tourism, which also rewarded him for his contributions to Turkey & for the poignant representation of his country, through his music and throughout the world.

Dudu, the fifth album, was released in Summer 2003 and was the latest in the series of record-breaking recordings from Tarkan. The album, a gift from Tarkan to his fans, steadily climbed the charts & matched Tarkan’s unchallenged record sales. The album release followed with yet another successful tour. Stops included concerts throughout Turkey and international shows in Germany, Moscow, Baku, and Alma Ata.

In terms of sales & popularity, Tarkan is the biggest star of the last decade in Turkey, spilling over his success throughout Europe, South America and Australia. He has charted Top 40 singles, every single year from 1992 to current. His songs, which include “Simarik”, “Sikidim”, “Hup”, “Kuzu Kuzu”, & “Dudu” have become contemporary pop standards. His image has garnered interest & endorsements of international brands such as the omnipresent “Pepsi”, by which Tarkan & his tour were sponsored. Tarkan has also shot two commercials as the face of “Pepsi”.

Tarkan’s music has always flowed to the beat of pop culture with his heart drumming to its ever-changing pulse. As an artist driven clearly by passion and always one step ahead of the game, Tarkan feels what’s next, he sings what’s next, and he is what’s next.

In addition, Tarkan's team works exclusively with renowned artists in putting together the songs. Along with the stomping electronic beats, he is accompanied by "swaying oboes, melancholy Sufi flutes, and rattling tambourines to a disco rhythm".

His fans, and they can now be found just about anywhere on the planet, find Tarkan "sweet" and that he is "the best." Tarkan is always friendly to everyone, has a permanently neutral demeanour, never comments on anything, solicits donations for tsunami victims on Turkish MTV, is never arrogant or conceited, and this is why all Turks, from small children to the elderly, love him.

Tarkan currently shuttles between Istanbul and New York and continues his plans to conquer the international market. The correct reading of this must be "conquer once and for all," as his "Kiss Kiss" song could likewise be heard throughout Latin America and Central Asia for years.

Tarkan held stadium performances in Istanbul in 2006, in a five-show run, with audience numbers topping over 200,000. In the unforgettable shows, at one of the biggest stadiums in Turkey, Tarkan was joined on-stage by a troupe of international dancers hailing from America, France, & Turkey, in a breathtaking set design produced by the world-renowned Justin Collie. Fans got a first listen to “Bounce”, Tarkan’s first single off his debut English album and were left speechless.

His English language album entitled, Come Closer was released in 2006 in Europe. His official website proclaims the work to be "a captivating collection of riveting songs, that is a testament to the infinite appeal of an artist who is a true original".

The album is a result of years in the making and a work of collaboration by world class composers, musicians, & technicians, as well as guest appearances by artists and producers such as Wyclef Jean, Pete Martin, Brian Kierulf and Josh Schwartz aka KNS, Devrim Karaoglu, Billy Mann, Lester Mendez, David Werner, Dexter Simmons, the Jettsonz, Supaflyas, Ozan Colakoglu, etc. When asked about recording the album Come Closer in America, Tarkan said,” I live here, this is one of my homes…It felt natural to record in the States.” Come Closer was recorded & mixed at the following studios in the US including, Pacifique Studios, The Hit Factory, Oasis Mastering, Etc.

Tracks on Come Closer : “Just Like That”, ”In Your Eyes”, “Why Don’t We (Aman Aman)” featuring Whyclef Jean, “Mine”, “Over”, “Start the Fire”, “I Wanna Hear Love Speak (SHHH)”, “Bounce”, “Come Closer”, “Don’t Leave Me Alone”, “Sikidim”, “I’m Gonna Make You Feel Good”, “Mass Confusion”, “Touch”, and “If Only You Knew”.

Come Closer brought to the forefront of the international music scene what has been bubbling just under the surface for years. It is an electric combination of unsurpassed talent, unmatched vocal prowess and dexterity, unanticipated and pulsating production, and Tarkan’s unsettling charm and passion. A lethal combination, that after years of simmering is about to boil over & pierce the hearts of anyone exposed. The sweltering eyes that have penetrated the souls of millions of fans are about to ignite…worldwide.

Tarkan released another Turkish language album on December 25, 2007, which was comprised almost solely of his own work. Called Metamorfoz ("metamorphosis" in English), seven of the songs were written by Tarkan, three other songs were collaborations with long-time engineer and producer Çolakoğlu. The album sold over 300,000 copies in the first two weeks of its release.Tarkan also became the most downloaded artist at TTNetMüzik, a digital music provider where his songs were made legally available in a digital format at the start of January 2008. Out of nearly two million tracks that were purchased after six weeks downloading, nearly 100,000 of those acquired were Tarkan songs, making him the highest grossing single artist at the music portal.

Unlike the public's reception, the critical response to Metamorfoz was lukewarm. Most music critics found the album musically lacking from Tarkan's previous albums, though not all. Ecevit Kılıç, columnist for Sabah newspaper, hailed Tarkan on his return and called him the "Orhan Pamuk of music", saying that Tarkan, just like Nobel-awarded Pamuk, always does everything his own way, despite all the attacks he has received from the press.Tarkan received congratulations from the chairman of the Turkish Language Association for his lyricsmanship by using correct language, traditional idioms and sayings in his lyrics, showing it was said a good example to Turkish youth in preserving the culture of the Turkish language. Besides the sales success, Tarkan also produced the third highest viewer rating with his New Year's Eve performance on TRT television channel, generating a total of 1 million YTL income for the television from sponsors.

The album was released in Germany on February 1, 2008, by Urban.[53
